Official Cherry Creek Arts Festival 2012 Guide
Every Fourth of July weekend brings one of my favorite art events of the year, The Cherry Creek Arts Festival. I reported on the festival last year, and this year was the best show I have seen yet! This is one of the biggest art festivals in the country, representing the top talent in contemporary Fine Art.
On Second Ave in Cherry Creek North
Nestled in the upscale Cherry Creek North Shopping District, over 200 artists arrive each year to fill the streets with their unique and beautiful wares. Additional stages for Preforming Arts, Culinary Demonstrations, and Local Music add to the festivities, and plenty of wonderful smells from Food Alley waft through the air, enticing you to sample.
Enjoying Art at The Cherry Creek Arts Festival
The 2012 Cherry Creek Arts Festival showcased many new artists offering original art at much more reasonable prices than years past. I was so excited to see people talking about buying a piece, engaging in transactions with artists, and carrying their prized new purchases with wide grins through the streets. I even picked up a wonderful new woodcut print for our collection!
Want a better view of the festival experience?
I have a few more Art Festivals to attend this summer, but The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is the pinnacle of the season! I hope you have a chance to visit this signature Denver event in years to come!
