Caught on Instagram: Handcrafting the Details of New Art Jewelry Designs

I've been busy working in the studio on new art jewelry designs.  I'm going back to my first love with jewelry design:
attention to beautiful craftsmanship.

In my new jewelry pieces , you will see lots of wire wrapping, detailed beadwork, colorful gemstones and crystals, and handmade artisan beads and components.

Here's a sneak peek behind the scenes in the studio:

Working on new jewelry designs- big, chunky wire-wraps for a handmade beaded chain are going to give a nice artisanal touch to this necklace!
Wire wrapped natural gemstone links create a colorful chain.

Trying out a new beading technique for this necklace- knotting! The tool always intimidated me, but I think I'm getting the hang of it!
Colorful Czech crystals and elegant Vintaj brass bead caps hand knotted on Irish waxed linen cord.

Adding a handmade button clasp to a new necklace design today!
A handmade clasp of colorful Czech seed beads and a vintage wooden button finish a strand of hand knotted green Czech glass beads.

New necklace design in the works- this one has a glam cowgirl vibe ( and it's coming together so nicely I hate to stop to make dinner!)
Multi-strand designs of rich color and texture, including handmade beads, such as this heart focal by Lipstick Ranch.

Another new design- lots of knotting on linen cord- and the unifying theme is locks/keys- not quite sure how this one is going to finish its construction- figuring that out tomorrow!
A handmade pewter pendant by Green Girl Studios, hangs from three knotted strands of colorful beads and mixed metals.

Photographing new #jewelry in the #studio today!
All of my new designs are being prepared and photographed for my new website!

Stay tuned!
